Hi, I'm Lisa — UX Designer...
I was born and raised in Russia. I received my Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from one of the best Russian universities and had been working as a data analyst for 6 years. I loved my job but I always missed the creative part in it. So three years ago I decided to transition into the design.
My background in math influences me as a designer. I love numbers and I believe that data and metrics are an important part of the design process.
Also, it helps me to feel comfortable when working side-by-side with the developers.
... and an Interesting Human Being
When I'm not working I love:
🚘 Hunting vintage cars
I love vintage cars. Each of them has its unique personality. Currently I'm taking pictures and posting them on my Instagram. But I hope one day I'll have my own.
I love doodling and painting with watercolors. This is my personal meditation practice.
So far, I've visited 28 countries. Some of them more than once. For example, I've been to Italy 7 times. Mamma Mia!
I volunteer as a Graphic Designer at Oakland Art Murmur — amazing nonprofit generating attention to Oakland artists and art venues.
